Residential Retreats

We run residential retreats throughout the year in Caithness on the award winning tourist route, the North Coast 500. Our residential retreats are based at the gorgeous Forse of Nature. Each retreat is themed and all include life coaching, yoga, mindfulness, nature walks, mindful crafts, delicious vegetarian food and lots of tea and cake. Special dietary requirements catered for by request.

Rooms are twins with a limited number of singles. A larger room for four people is available by request.

During the retreats you will also have full use of the grounds, three private lounges and a yoga / meditation room. 

Although our retreats are in ‘the land beyond the Highlands’, it is very accessible either by driving the stunning NC500, flying into Inverness or Wick and by bus or train. Wick is only a 20 min taxi ride away and the bus will drop you at the end of the drive where someone will collect you.

Spaces are very limited and early booking is essential.

Coorie Autumn Retreat

 11th – 13th October 2019 (2 nights) 

You’ve heard of ‘hygge’? Coorie is the Scottish version. A whole weekend of log fires, walks in the autumn woods, restorative yoga, wild crafting, fluffy socks and tea & cake by the fire. 

You’ll arrive late Friday afternoon in time to settle in and get to know everyone. We have a relaxed first evening of delicious food, followed by stories round the fire, yoga nidra and an evening of star gazing and northern lights spotting. 

Saturday is all about the coorie – slow paced yoga, eating, walks in the woods, crafting, more eating and lots of time to relax. There will also be some outdoor life coaching and the opportunity for a one-to-one session with Donna. If you would rather spend the whole day by the fire with a book, we’ll supply the cake and hot chocolate. 

We’ll spend Sunday morning on even more relaxing, a spot of yoga and a bit of exploration. Maybe you’d like to try some wild swimming in the loch? We’ll make sure you are well fed with a tasty lunch before we say Goodbye until next time.

Winter Fire Retreat

10th – 12th January 2020 (2 nights)

Join us to say Goodbye to 2019 and welcome 2020 with fire ceremonies, vision boards and timeline walking.

You’ll arrive late Friday afternoon in time to settle in and get to know everyone. We have a relaxed first evening of delicious food, followed by stories round the fire, yoga nidra and an evening of star gazing and northern lights spotting.

Saturday is all about releasing the old and welcoming in the new. As well as our usual retreat goodies of yoga, meditation, nature walks and lots of cake, we’ll spend some time reviewing your previous year and preparing for the year ahead. As well as group coaching sessions, there will be an opportunity for one to one sessions with Donna. We’ll finish the day with a fire ceremony, smores and stories around the firepit.

Sunday morning is free to journal and prepare for your year ahead, to relax by the fire, explore the nearby Pictish ruins or go seaglass hunting. We’ll make sure you are well fed before we say Goodbye after lunch.

Day Retreat

Our Day Retreat is a day of bliss –  a full day of meditation (seated, eating, working), yoga, nature walks, mindfulness and yoga nidra. The whole day takes place in silence so no need to introduce yourself, share your story or feel any obligation to entertain your fellow attendees.

Attendees should bring something for working meditation – drawing, writing, knitting etc or are free to work in the garden.

Retreats are limited to eight attendees and run from 10am-4pm.

Our day retreats are run in the beautiful, peaceful surroundings of Newton Croft in Caithness.
